Move an Existing Project to Text Studio

Open Tools > Text Studio > Setup > Migration when Text Animator or TMPEffects markup is present. Choose the source provider, load a selected Text Studio component or TextAsset, compare provider markup with canonical Text Studio output, and review source-ranged diagnostics before copying or applying with Undo. Use Advanced Text Animator Project Migration only when components, styles, timing assets, events, or audio bindings also need conversion.

  • Keep a source-control checkpoint before converting.
  • Resolve unsupported tags and aliases in the report instead of guessing.
  • Compare reveal timing, visible text, area grouping, and skip behavior.
  • Keep old and new components out of the same final text object.
  • Run Health Check after the last migrated scene.
